“My art is the beauty I choose to see in the world, despite the darkness I’ve known.”
– Ella Myers
I’m Ella Myers, an Artist from the South Coast of Australia. My work is an extension of my personal journey. My art bridges storytelling, cultural heritage, and emotional exploration. Finding light even in the darkest of moments. I choose to capture the beauty I see in the world, despite the challenges I’ve faced.
Rooted in my Aboriginal ancestry, my art is a reflection of resilience—finding beauty and light even in the darkest moments. Through every brushstroke, I weave together the landscapes of my life, blending colour, texture, and movement to express the world as I choose to see it. It’s a celebration of strength, of moments that are both fragile and powerful, and a reminder that even in the shadows, there is always something worth holding onto.
Art has always been my constant, a language beyond words. It allows me to capture moments in time, to understand the past, and to express what words often can’t. The natural world deeply influences my work, with its quiet whispers and powerful connections. Motherhood has reignited a sense of wonder in me, grounding me in the present and reminding me to find beauty in the simple, the overlooked, and the unexpected.
Through my art, I invite you to experience not just my world, but a universal story of resilience, hope, and connection. Each piece is a reflection of my journey—an ongoing conversation between past and present, darkness and light. It’s my belief that through art, we can find common ground, share stories, and discover beauty in even the most unexpected places. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope my work resonates with you, as it is as much yours as it is mine.
